Barona Band of Mission Indians

Barona Band of Mission Indians will enhance educational experiences for Barona Indian Charter School students and the Native community by expanding children's literature collections, fostering partnerships, and implementing engaging programming, ultimately aiming to increase book check-out rates and literacy while creating an inclusive and culturally rich environment. The library will purchase books relating to seasons, holidays, as well as multi-cultural celebrations as those are frequently requested by staff and help raise awareness about different cultures. Two Library Staff members will receive continued professional development through attendance at the Association for Tribal Archives, Libraries, and Museums 2024 conference; the conference has always provided valuable information about tribal libraries through sessions and workshops.
