Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma

The Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma will make available to the community, library programming in the form of a computer lab, afterschool tutoring, computer supplies, new books and magazines. The programming will incorporate a day trip to one of the area science museums to help children have access to a space where they can learn to use their critical thinking skills and problem solving. The Tonkawa Tribe plans to do more storytelling sessions, as well as interactive activities with the children/youth on history, science, etc. The new books will be used in the summer reading program and will include cultural books and STEM materials.
