Forest County Potawatomi Community

The Forest County Potowatomi Community will build on activities after an increase in community interest and engagement from a previous Enhancement grant. An emphasis on purchasing books and materials for youth will be maximized through partnerships with local school districts to expand programming and collaboration beyond their current preschool program to increase the knowledge of Potowatomi language, history and culture. Engagement activities and purchase of supplies and materials that are tailored to their community continue to affirm their library spaces and expand outreach to their rural community members. It will support travel for its library to attend professional development opportunities. The project will provide direct benefit to the community members within its project service area.
