Native Village of Afognak

The Native Village of Afognak will use funds to increase its collection of materials relating to its Tribe, language and culture, as well as other Tribes in Alaska and throughout the United States. In addition to the purchase of collection materials, funds will also be used to develop and host evening cultural activities for the community and to support staff salaries and benefits. The library serves a community of about 3,400 and many will benefit from the enhanced collection and services funded by this award.
