The Rocky Boy Community Library in Box Elder, Montana, plans to expand library offerings for patrons through several subscription-based services. A book review and collection development service will help the library acquire new children’s and young adult books. Another service will make information available from thousands of newspapers, periodicals, and other publications. Patrons also will be able to research their ancestry online and have access to online educational resources covering academic curricula aligned with state standards. For pleasure reading, patrons will have access to a large selection of downloadable digital e-books and audiobooks. To enhance her skills and better serve patrons, the librarian will participate in workshops and trainings sponsored by the Montana Shared Catalog and the Tribal College Librarians Institute.
