Shoshone-Bannock Tribes

Log Number: NAB-250273-OLS-21

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribe Library provides core services for the Fort Hall Reservation community in rural Idaho, increasing access to information and educational resources for people of all ages. In a community where 18 percent of the population has less than a ninth-grade education, the library provides essential services for individuals from specific cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, individuals with disabilities, and individuals with limited functional literacy skills. They plan to enhance the collection with Native American newspapers and adult and children’s books and magazines. The library will also pay for needed software licenses and make training opportunities available to staff.
