Hydaburg Cooperative Association

The Hydaburg Tribal Library in Alaska will purchase new materials to expand its collection of books and audio and video tapes focusing on Haida history, language, arts, and culture. The library will increase public access to the collection by expanding its operating hours to 25 hours per week. This will facilitate additional cultural programs and services like homework help to engage children and youth and give them a safe space for social activities, especially on evenings and weekends. The library is the only public facility in Hydaburg that offers these expanded hours where youth can gather.
