Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana

The Chitimacha Tribal School is planning for expanded services for students in the 2021–2022 school year by purchasing new materials for its library. They will add non-fiction, fiction, and Native American materials to their collection, replacing old and damaged books. Students will benefit from the library’s renewed subscriptions to magazines and periodicals and digital subscriptions to encyclopedias that they can use for research and learning. To enhance skills and better serve students, the librarian plans to participate in professional development conferences hosted by the Louisiana Library Association and the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators.
