Balboa Park Learning Institute

The Balboa Park Learning Institute (BPL) is a program of the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership, a non-profit collaborative of 26 cultural institutions located in San Diego’s historic Balboa Park. Building on a successful professional development program that has reached over 4000 participants, the BPL will continue as a learning laboratory and hub for a growing community of museum professionals. The BPL has designed a multi-faceted professional development program to serve broad audiences that include museum staff and volunteers throughout California and across the nation. The 25 workshops will reach 625 people and the 2 symposium will reach 300 people. The workshops and symposium will focus on the need for adaptive capacity to improve professional practice and lead to organizational change.
