Friends of the Judiciary History Center of Hawaii

Log Number: MN-256130-OMS-24

The Friends of the Judiciary History Center of Hawai’i will redesign the King Kamehameha V Judiciary History Center’s permanent exhibits to address outdated content and better communicate Hawai’i’s civic story in a way that centralizes Native Hawaiian voices. In collaboration with a longtime partner and consultant, the team will hold planning meetings at various sites including Aliʻiōlani Hale; develop essential design elements, including a refined exhibit floor plan with 3-D visualizations and an exhibit matrix outlining content to be used in the museum's new thematic areas; hold virtual deliverable review meetings with stakeholders; and integrate the design assets into promotional materials. The Center’s redesigned exhibits will deliver perspectives on Hawaiʻi’s civic history and the contemporary justice system that connect viewers to the past and deepen their understanding of the present.
