Koniag, Inc.

Koniag, Inc. will partner with the Alutiiq Museum to complete a community-led planning and design process to enhance the museum’s newly expanded gallery space through exhibitions that celebrate the Kodiak Alutiiq people. The project team will recruit and hire an apprentice to assist with the development and fabrication of 13 displays highlighting the Alutiiq harvesting tradition, community life, and spirituality through artifacts, artwork, images, and text. The new exhibition space will expand access to museum collections and strengthen awareness and understanding of the history and living culture of the Alutiiq people.
