Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation

The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the opening of its Tamastslikt Cultural Institute (TCI) by updating outdated sections of its permanent exhibition, enhancing collections care and access, and investing in the professional development of its staff. The project will support hiring a conservation technician, purchasing archival supplies to properly store and display collection items, and subscribing to a new collections software option that will allow TCI to share its collections online. Project funds will also be used to invest in technology enhancements, support training for newly hired staff members, and contract with an exhibition design firm that will design, fabricate, and install fresh content and displays for TCI's permanent exhibition. All of these activities will improve TCI's capacity to provide museum services to Tribal members, students, teachers, and the public.
