Gun Lake Tribe

The Gun Lake Tribe will develop and enhance existing and underutilized exhibit areas within three Tribal facilities with the dual goal of improving the care of and increasing community access to materials from the Tribe’s archives and collections. Project activities include purchasing and installing climate-controlled display cases, installing UV protection on windows in public exhibit areas, updating exhibit content with community input, upgrading to digital signage, and identifying new objects for display. The updated exhibits will better protect and preserve the Tribe’s cultural and historical collections, as well as increase awareness of and engagement with the collections for Tribal citizens, community members, and non-Tribal visitors.
