Bishop Museum

The Bishop Museum will implement a professional development program for museum staff at small and mid-sized museums in Hawai‘i to address the need for mentorship and training and to build an ongoing network for peer learning and support for museum professionals in Hawai‘i. Project activities include designing, developing, and delivering a mentorship program to cohorts of multiple participants that is targeted towards understanding the non-profit culture in Hawai‘i, and customized to the needs of Native Hawaiians and Hawai‘i-based museums. Participants in the program will develop knowledge, skills, and capacity in the work they do, enabling them to strengthen programs and increase support for the communities they serve.
