Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians

The Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians will catalog and inventory the tribe’s historical and cultural collections. Intellectual control will be gained over these diverse collections by establishing a single, consistent cataloging system while inventorying and cataloging all artifacts. With the assistance of consultants, tribal staff will receive training in cataloging; collections handling and storage; data management; and emergency preparedness as it relates to archaeological, ethnographic, and archival materials in the tribe’s care. A Curation Policies and Procedures Manual will also be completed.
