Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians

Funding from this grant program will allow the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa to provide needed museum enhancements to its institution. Updates will include a security system for interior and exterior spaces; new storage systems for museum collections; a new heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system for the archival storage area; a laptop computer and digital camera for documentation of objects for the archive and communications; new software and training; and the development and implementation of a website. Upon completion of this project, the facility will benefit from improved security, increased storage, and enhanced climate control for the museum collection, and a staff trained to manage and promote the collection to both community members and visitors.
