Poarch Band of Creek Indians

The goal of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians "Cultural Center Enhancement Project" is to further develop the archives program for the Tribe's new Museum/Cultural Education Center, prepare museum collections for relocation to the new museum, and to increase the professional development of museum staff.  This will be accomplished by hiring an archivist, consolidating all historic Tribal documents, conducting a comprehensive survey of all collections and archives, conducting necessary preservation activities, improving the storage and archival capacity of museum collections, and increasing cultural center staff knowledge of museum activities by attending the 2009 Web Wise Conference.
