The Caddo Heritage Museum was established by tribal law in April of 2000 for the purpose of preserving and perpetuating Caddo history, culture and traditions by collecting, conserving, interpreting, archiving, exhibiting and disseminating knowledge of the Caddo people.  Since that time, the museum's collections have steadily grown and now encompass approximately 2,000 artifacts.  The goal of this project is to conduct a comprehensive physical inventory of all collection items and create a museum inventory database. The project will involve a physical inventory of all museum items; re-organization, documentation and re-packing of collection items; incorporation of all gathered data into computerized museum inventory database; and presentations for Caddo leadership and tribal members explaining the project's purpose and results.
