Meskwaki Nation

The Sac and Fox Tribe of the Mississippi will enhance a 1,200-square-foot museum exhibition gallery that is focused on the cultural, political, and economic history of the Meskwaki Nation. In this educational environment, tribal-owned artifacts will be consolidated into one easily accessible location, and the stories presented will be from the Meskwaki point of view. Funds will be used to purchase low-energy track lighting, audiovisual equipment so that rare films can be shown, high-quality adult mannequins for the appropriate display of clothing and regalia, well-designed interpretive panels, and additional display cases and pedestals.
