Papahana Kuaola

Papahana Kuaola will use grant funds to support Touch and Learn: An Exhibit for All. An innovative, interactive exhibit consisting of replicas of 15 items with specific Hawaiian cultural significance, the exhibit will be developed, field-tested, and evaluated during the project period. The exhibit will be designed for use by all learners, from preschool-age keiki (children) to kupuna (elders), but it will be especially helpful for hands-on learning with special-needs students. This versatile exhibit will be portable and intended for tabletop display. Its goal is to teach about how the natural resources of Hawai’i contributed to the development of the material culture.
