Northern Arapaho Tribe - Wind River Reservation

The Arapahoe Tribe of the Wind River Reservation’s Excel Program at St. Stephens Indian School is in the process of developing its Northern Arapaho Culture Center as both a virtual and physical community museum. As a keystone of this process, they propose to develop a series of interactive and interdisciplinary exhibits shared through the Internet, called Wind River Memories: Revisiting the Past through 21st Century Technology. Several of these exhibits will be bilingual (both text and audio); one—in collaboration with the Maori—may be trilingual. All of the exhibits will take advantage of the latest advances in technology. Expertise and assistance in creating the exhibits and developing the virtual museum will be provided by the Interactive Media Research Laboratory at Utah State University.
