Sealaska Corporation

On behalf of the Sealaska Corporation, the Sealaska Heritage Institute will undertake a project to publish a cultural art catalog featuring Tlingit art held by the British Museum in London. Staff members will make two separate visits to the British Museum—first to examine the museum’s Tlingit art and later to have selected items professionally photographed. The resulting publication will include photos of the art and will describe personal and intimate cultural information on how the art relates to Tlingit heritage. The publication will serve as a unique cultural educational resource to further Tlingit heritage and scholarship.
