The Hopi Tribe of Arizona will use funds for a wide array of events and activities over a two year grant period.  This project is a component of the Homol'ovi Interpretive Program, which is under the direction of the Homol'ovi Visitor Center.  Funds will be used to: implement a garden project that will showcase Hopi terrace garden techniques; support monthly, one-day workshops that include hands on activities and lectures; sponsor Hopi artist demonstrations; and make possible the Suvoyuki Festival, an annual event that highlights the Homol'ovi site through dance, tours, speakers, and demonstrations.  In addition, funds will be used by the Hopi Tribe of Arizona to inaugurate a new internship program, in which an intern will work full time for ten weeks with permanent staff, and that will provide valuable professional development for tribal members.
