The Akwesasne Museum will collaborate with The Wild Center to provide its staff with enhanced exhibit development skills. Through a series of training sessions, The Wild Center, in Tupper Lake, New York, will share techniques for creating in-house graphics and implementing affordable exhibit fabrication. The project will focus on the reinstallation of existing objects in the collection and the creation of new interactive areas, while crafting a more cohesive and appealing exhibition program by refreshing the look of the museum on a regular basis area in order to attract repeat visitation. The Akwesasne Tourism Working Group will assist the governing and advisory bodies of the Akwesasne Museum with tracking and evaluating project progress.
