Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin

The Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians Tribal Museum and Visitor Center, which opened in 2016, will establish an electronic management information system to document its collections. The museum will hire a consultant to install collections management software and guide the training of staff and volunteers in its use. Staff will conduct data entry for museum holdings; make publishable quality photographs of artifacts and material holdings; review and scan all archival records; organize digital files and place physical records in acid-free folders; and complete an operational and policy plan for the tribe's Archive Center. The consultant will develop a collections management policy and lead the effort to create a website that will support multi-media exhibits. The website will also host the tribe's Archive Center to provide the public with online access to view artifacts.
