Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe

Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture and Lifeways will use grant funds to upgrade elements of their permanent, decade old exhibit Diba Jimooyung (Telling Our Story). The exhibit continues to be relevant in telling the cultural, historical, and contemporary story of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and other Great Lakes Anishinabek, though it shows wear and tear and utilizes out-of-date technology. During this year long project, the museum will upgrade lighting and media components, repair damaged exhibition elements and graphics, and integrate cultural artifact reproductions as props to enhance the exhibit. Two summer interns will be hired to assist with project activities.
