Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians

The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians maintains an archives and records department that catalogs and stores artifacts, documents, and photographs that are of cultural importance to the tribe. This project aims to improve the museum services of that department in two important ways. The first objective is to implement the collections management software program, Past Perfect, to increase the efficiency of artifact accessioning and location tracking. The second is to create and maintain a virtual museum using digital images of objects from the department. Available on the tribe's Web site, this virtual museum will make the collections more accessible to community members as well as the general public.
