Delaware Nation

The Delaware Nation Museum holds 290 ethnographic objects, 188 historic and prehistoric artifacts, and 250 photographs. The tribe seeks to improve its collections management capabilities and upgrade its storage configurations. Over the course of a year, a museum assistant will be hired temporarily, and archival supplies and a storage cabinet will be acquired. Funds will also be used to purchase a computer to electronically update the museum's accession records. This project will save the material culture of the Delaware Nation from further deterioration caused by improper storage and handling. Thus, it will ensure that future generations will have access to these important and culturally valuable resources.
