Log Number: MN-00-05-0026-05
The Pyramid Lake Paiute tribe's Museum and Cultural Center, which has been open since 1998, hosts between 3,000 and 4,000 visitors a year. The center's collection consists of artifacts and objects related to the history and culture of the Kooyooe Tukaddu (Cui-cui Eaters). This grant will enable the tribe to promote improved museum services by way of fulfilling several project goals, including purchasing backdrops, lighting, and audio and visual equipment to enhance exhibitions. This grant will also assist the professional growth of museum staff members and promotion of professional collections practices by sending them to collections management training. It will also extend the center's open hours during the summer by increasing the manager's hours and hiring a temporary assistant.
