Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin

The Logging Museum, also known as the Menominee Indian Historical Foundation, seeks to design an on-line museum of approximately 150 objects and photographs, which will be linked to the tribe's existing Web site. The artifacts will be videotaped on a turntable to record 360 degrees of detail, while the photographs will be digitally scanned. Brief historical descriptions of each object from community members will be recorded to provide context. Creating digital records of these Menominee artifacts will preserve the integrity of the materials and increase their accessibility. It will also allow the public to view and learn about the tribe's culture and history.
