Nooksack Indian Tribe

The Nooksack Cultural Heritage Center will use this grant to develop staff skills in collections management, digitization, and museum management. Cultural Heritage Center staff will gain these skills by visiting several Native American cultural centers to meet with staff and discuss mutual issues, as well as attending professional training courses offered by museums and professional training organizations. Staff members will work to inventory collection artifacts and compose a long-range plan during the grant period. The Cultural Heritage Center will build upon these goals to enhance and expand programs and services in order to meet the needs of its people.
