Mescalero Apache Tribe of the Mescalero Reservation

The Mescalero Apache Tribe operates the Mescalero Apache Cultural Center, the tribal museum, in Mescalero, NM. The cultural center houses exhibitions about Apache culture and history for both tribal and nontribal audiences. This grant will promote increased museum services through the purchase of six new exhibition cases and consultation with an exhibition designer on the redesign of the center's exhibition space. The new cases will permit the tribe to display sensitive artifacts in more stable environments.
