Explorit Science Center

Purpose: Reaching Families and Children The Explorit Science Center will utilize its grant to fulfill its institutional goal, "increase traveling outreach to K-6 students with an emphasis on reaching undeserved families and schools." The funding will be used to create a new traveling exhibit and complementary classroom-based and family enrichment program. This new initiative, Health in Your World, will focus on the science of health. By the end of the grant period, the museum expects that the project will expand ExplorIt's audience by up to 12,000 children and families per year, with at least 50% of the new audience coming from undeserved communities and schools.
