Denver Art Museum

Purpose: Reaching Families and Children The Denver Art Museum will expand programs for families and children in the museum's new wing, by creating Family Learning Gallery Installations and education programs. These programs will ensure that the collections exhibited in the new wing are as accessible as possible to families. The educational programs will include seven new Family Backpacks, which contain interactive activities for children and their parents; six Art Stops (informal, drop-in learning experiences in galleries); and 10 new Family Learning Gallery Installations. The project will also develop partnerships with two different kinds of community organizations that reach broad and diverse constituencies.
