Paine Art Center and Gardens

Purpose: Reaching Families and Children For five years the Paine Art Center and Gardens has operated a highly successful educational program in partnership with the Oshkosh Area School District that reaches every fourth grade student. Funding will help the Paine continue and expand the program with "Adventures in Creativity." The museum will visit every fourth grade class and every class will visit the museum and its new Family Discovery Gallery, which helps make the museum's content and resources more welcoming, easily understandable, and enjoyable to children and families. A third component brings fourth graders back to the museum with their families. "Adventures in Creativity" will reinforce the school system's curriculum through activities that address proficiency goals and will reach out to adults who want to participate in their children's ongoing learning experience at school.
