Children's Hands-On Museum of Tuscaloosa

Purpose: Reaching Families and Children The CHOM Early Childhood Project will provide for children three and under and their caregivers a stimulating and developmentally appropriate exhibit environment and museum-based and outreach educational programming and resources. There are many project components. An exploration exhibit will address early childhood developmental goals. There will also be a resource area for small group activities and instruction. Early education personnel on staff will develop appropriate resource kits. These kits will be available for outreach visits to preschools, Head Start centers, day care facilities, and other family life centers.
