Gore Range Natural Science School

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services Gore Range Natural Science School will use a funding to establish a traveling environmental education Earth Mobile program. The grant will pay for the purchase of a safe and reliable mini-van and utility trailer outfitted to carry the education staff of half a dozen field instructors, some specimen collections, program equipment, outdoor gear, supplies, and computer technology. The van will also be equipped with an LCD projector and screen and three laptop computers to improve student field research data collection and presentations. The Earth Mobile van will travel daily within the central mountain region of Colorado to sites including 20 elementary schools, 15 field sites, and eight municipalities. The program will help the five-year-old museum build public access to environmental and natural science education and expand its educational programs.
