Children's Museum at Yunker Farm

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services Child magazine has rated the children's Museum at Yunker Farm as one of the top 25 children's museums in the country. The Museum has earned this distinction by offering a range of unique and fun interactive experiences. The grant will support a new exhibit that will continue to inspire children to learn about as well as bolster their interest in science. Rooted in the concept that people learn best when they actively participate in the learning process, Move It! will feature an interactive kinetic sculpture, kaleidoscopes, and a taleidoscope. These hands-on objects will provide learning experience for observation, exploration, and the discovery of scientific principles. The museum's innovate approach will serve as the impetus for the quality learning experiences for greater numbers of children and adults in the community.
