Fort Ligonier Memorial Foundation

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services The Fort Ligonier Association will develop new educational services through a social-cultural initiative and the unique archeology found at Fort Ligonier. Funding will be used to achieve the Association's strategic goals, to expand education offerings through the Association's Web site. The new programming will address the 205th anniversary of Fort Ligonier and the commemoration of an historic conflict in western Pennsylvania. Specifically, the project will encompass: " 12 new educational programs that will focus on the daily experience at the frontier fort and ramifications of the class ridden society prevailing in 1758-1766 " 10 programs based on archeological investigations of Fort Ligonier. A full-time assistant curator will work exclusively on developing the new educational services to ensure that the Association's goals are met.
