Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services The grant will be used to establish a permanent, professional staff position and to fund enhanced educational opportunities through the use of new technology for museum visitors and students and teachers in local classrooms. The new position, Director of Education and Curatorial Services, will address the Museum goal of devoting an additional staff member to the myriad of tasks currently performed by one staff member. It will also elevate the educational function of the Museum to the higher priority that it deserves. The Museum will benefit from increased visitorship, increased program support, and the enhanced visibility of the entity in the community. Long-term financial stability of the Museum will benefit from the increased time the director will be able to devote to public relations, marketing, and development.
