Berkshire Museum

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services Changing exhibitions have become central to the revitalization of the Berkshire Museum, which hosts at least two major changing exhibitions and several secondary exhibits annually. The museum will use funding to develop a template for a comprehensive educational structure that can be applied to each of its changing exhibits. The template will provide multiple entry points for people with different learning styles, multi-sensory experiences, and formal and informal education with both on-site and off-site learning opportunities. The major components of this template are piloting a formal Docent program, increasing interaction in the exhibitions via staffed hands-on carts, and strengthening pre-visit and post-visit materials for educators using the museum's Web site
