Fort Bend County Museum Association

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services The Fort Bend Museum Association will expand its educational services by creating the Texian Time Machine. This unique program will utilize hands-on activities, role-playing stimulations, and dramatic characterizations to integrate objectives related to geography, economics, and political and social history. These immersive programs will also stimulate the critical thinking skills on the part of the student that is an effective part of test preparation skills. The first offering of the Texian Time Machine, Austin Colony Adventure, builds on the museum's mission statement and expertise with living history interpretation of Stephen F. Austin's Texas Colony of the 1830s.
