Mattatuck Museum

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services The Mattatuck Museum will begin a collaborative planning process with area educators and a special consultant in museum education services to produce curriculum materials which will assist schools in incorporating the compelling stories in the museum's oral history archives into the classroom in meaningful ways. In addition, the group will plan innovative activities for schools to participate in during the museum's new history exhibit scheduled to open in 2005. The project will also include the development of a Web site to bring an online database, virtual exhibits, and curriculum materials into the classroom.
