Lefferts Homestead

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services Lefferts Homestead will develop procedures, programs, and exhibits that will serve as the foundation for a major new interpretation of the museum, its collections, and its grounds. To achieve these goals, the Museum will expand access to the historic house; adapt and create new programming that includes first person interpretive exhibits; create walking tours and scripts; develop printed self-guided tours; and create new exhibits that include traveling to other venues as well as presenting onsite outdoor exhibits. The project will also develop specific components to increase the use and appeal of the Lefferts Homestead by youth/teens, young adults, and seniors.
