Audubon Commission

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services Audubon Nature Institute will launch an online, interactive version of its successful classroom-based curricula through the Institute's Web site. "Wildlab" will use informal learning principles and methodologies in the formal classroom setting moderated by school science teachers. The project will use readily-available technology that is accessible to any educator with Web-capable computers. The online experience will enhance the School's science curriculum and advance students' computer and research skills. Wildlab will have scalable, scientifically rich content, and curriculum from the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center, and the Audubon Zoo to reach a broader student body.
