Illinois State Museum

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services The Illinois State Museum Society new natural history exhibition, Changes: Dynamic Illinois Environments, will be expanded with a state-of-the-art technology-based information hub and outpost network connecting the exhibition to global, national, and state environmental issues. An online version of the exhibition is planned that will include technology-assisted teacher, student, and public programs. The new exhibition constitutes half of the museum's exhibition space and is far more interactive than any Museum exhibit developed to date and will serve as a national model for the effective integration of museum resources and technology to educate the public.
