Sci-Port Discovery Museum

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services Sci-Port Discovery Center will develop and launch "Space Journeys Science Carnival," an outreach project of portable exhibits and programs for 84 K-12 schools and community sites throughout Louisiana and underserved areas of east Texas and south Arkansas. Teacher and family activity guides, 2 hour teacher development workshops, and visits of the Carnival to schools will be included. Program evaluation outcomes will be injected into the permanent design and education plans for Sci-Port's permanent Space Center building expansion.
