Michener Art Museum

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services The Michener Art Museum (MAM) is expanding a partnership with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit and Schools around the program Art on the Move. Through the Intermediate Unit, educational services are provided to some 130 schools and more than 100,000 students. Art on the Move uses more than 300 works of art by local artisans, owned by Bucks County schools and housed at the Museum. The program actively engages school children in learning about the County's artistic heritage by studying original works of art. Funding will support expansion of the program currently serving eight schools to an optimum size serving 24 schools and reaching as many as 20,000 students a year. Web technology will be employed to make this project a reality.
