Madison Art Center

Building Public access Madison Art Center will introduce the Online Permanent Collection Initiative in September 2004. Through a rich multilayered Web site the museum will share 30 of its most important works with a broad regional audience. Each object will include multiple views, artist information, social, historical and art historical background and resources for further investigation. The online collection will include curriculum for Wisconsin's teachers with lesson ideas, discussion questions, and classroom activities. An online interface for the database of the permanent collection will also be developed as a resource for scholars, students, museums, and interested members of the public.
