Kauffman Museum

Purpose: Building Public Access The Kauffman Museum will develop and market a permanent exhibition featuring the museum's Mennonite immigrant furniture collection. The "Unpacking Mennonite Furniture" project will expand access to the public by bringing out of storage a precious furniture collection designated an official "Save America's Treasure" symbolic of the diversity of American culture. The exhibition will include a Web site in English, German, Polish, and Russian, and educational programming targeted to elementary school children and cultural tourists.
